Autumn Winter 2007
Po-Zu aims to make the ultimate ecological slippers, which are over 99 per cent
biodegradable, durable, and exceptionally comfortable.
Launched in autumn 2006, Po-Zu footwear are designed around a unique coconut husk
foot-mattress. As you wear them, air pockets in the mattress react to your body heat and
weight and gradually mould to the shape of your foot.
Po-Zu introduces the new Yasumi range as an indoor/outdoor experience. This unisex range
can be worn in two different ways: keep the back up and it’s a shoe, or folded down and it’s
a slipper. With their natural latex sole you can now choose to chill at home or stroll to the
shops in maximum comfort. Buto is our high-top version for an extra-snug option.
The slippers are made with organically tanned leathers in natural cream and chocolate brown.
We now cater for vegetarians too, with pure unbleached wool uppers in felt and tweed,
off-white and grey.
Po-Zu’s shoebox, which is a seed tray in disguise, was nominated for the UK Green Awards
2006 for best packaging. Once the seeds sprout, the entire tray can be planted into the earth
where it will biodegrade.
